In 1972, Andrew Wommack submitted to the call of God to be a teacher of the Word. By 1980, he and his wife Jamie had moved their ministry to the Colorado Springs area. It wasn\u2019t until the early nineties that God spoke to Andrew about starting a Bible college, and in September of 1994, Charis Bible College opened its doors. Since then, more than 8,500 students have graduated from Charis worldwide. Andrew Wommack Ministries and Charis Bible College are amazing outlets for Andrew and Jaime to teach the truth of the Gospel to the body of Christ. Year after year, the ministry and college combined hold numerous conferences and events where countless lives are touched and changed forever! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
But imagine being at school or at an event and parking in a remote gravel lot where you had to wait in ice-cold temperatures and blowing snow for a shuttle bus to take you to and from campus! For years, Charis students and guests had to park in gravel lots a quarter mile away and ride shuttle buses to and from the Woodland Park Campus\u2014a challenge made even more difficult during Colorado\u2019s dramatic winter conditions! Indoor parking was quickly becoming a true necessity. Andrew and Jaime knew this wasn\u2019t God\u2019s best and there was more in store for the school and ministry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a result, we began construction on a 1,022-space parking garage in the summer of 2018 with the intent to complete it debt-free. However, unforeseeable circumstances led us to take out a loan for over $28 million over a 120-month period\u2014a significant financial commitment for the ministry. How in the world could this long-awaited project ever come close to being debt-free? It\u2019s at moments like these where many people would just lose hope\u2014forgetting the one true answer to all things unseen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
