To\u00a0<\/span><\/span>subdue<\/span><\/span><\/em>\u00a0anything means to cause it to submit. This means that whether it be an animal, plant, or anything else on\u00a0<\/span><\/span>e<\/span><\/span>arth,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>you have dominion over it<\/span><\/span><\/strong>. In Psalm 82:6 God<\/span><\/span>\u00a0said,<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u201c<\/span><\/span>Ye\u202fare gods<\/span><\/span>,<\/span><\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>speaking<\/span><\/span>\u00a0of\u00a0<\/span><\/span>H<\/span><\/span>is creation<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>He\u00a0<\/span><\/span>didn\u2019t\u00a0<\/span><\/span>mean\u00a0<\/span><\/span>God<\/span><\/span>\u00a0with a capital\u00a0<\/span><\/span>G<\/span><\/span>\u00a0in the sense that you are a deity. This is talking about giving mankind absolute control and rulership over the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>earth<\/span><\/span>. Did you know that by doing so,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>God<\/span><\/span>\u00a0limited His own power over what happens on\u00a0<\/span><\/span>e<\/span><\/span>arth?<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

But t<\/span><\/span>hey\u00a0<\/span><\/span>can tell<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>that\u00a0<\/span><\/span>what they\u2019re doing<\/span><\/span>\u00a0in their Christian life<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>isn\u2019t\u00a0<\/span><\/span>working because they continue to be sick, poor, miserable, discouraged, and fearful.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

T<\/span><\/span>he problem<\/span><\/span>, however,<\/span><\/span>\u00a0isn\u2019t with God.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>There is a demonic power operating in this world, and you are in a spiritual war whether you recognize it or not.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Christians are the ones with authority, but that authority\u00a0<\/span><\/span>has to<\/span><\/span>\u00a0be exercised.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span>You<\/span><\/span>\u2019<\/span><\/span>ve\u00a0<\/span><\/span>got to become aware of\u00a0<\/span><\/span>what<\/span><\/span>\u2019<\/span><\/span>s\u00a0<\/span><\/span>really going on and use your authority to rebuke the works of the enemy.\u202f<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

He gave us\u00a0<\/span><\/span>His<\/span><\/span>\u00a0authority<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and told us to do the<\/span><\/span>se things<\/span><\/span>. God has promised us absolute victory over sicknes<\/span><\/span>s<\/span><\/span>\u00a0100 percent of the time\u2014<\/span><\/span>not just sometimes, for minor things, or<\/span><\/span>\u00a0only<\/span><\/span>\u00a0for some people<\/span><\/span>!<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

But w<\/span><\/span>e\u2019ve been brought up to believe that at certain times of the year, you just get sick. Or when you get older, you just start having\u00a0<\/span><\/span>all of<\/span><\/span>\u00a0these problems, and\u00a0<\/span><\/span>you need to\u00a0<\/span><\/span>accept it as normal. People will say things like,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u201c<\/span><\/span>This just runs in my family.<\/span><\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>W<\/span><\/span>hether you realize it or not, those are lies of the devil.<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>

The<\/span><\/span>\u00a0batt<\/span><\/span>le we\u2019re in<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>affects both physical and spiritual things<\/span><\/span>,<\/span><\/span>\u00a0but we can\u2019t approach everything as if there\u2019s a demonic source to it.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0If you hit your hand with a hammer, it\u2019s not the devil that makes it swell up. If a person dislikes you, it\u2019s not necessarily because of a demon. It could be because of something you did.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>W<\/span><\/span>e need to operate in wisdom and\u00a0<\/span><\/span>discernment<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>so we don\u2019t fall into a ditch on either side of this road.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Genesis<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>1<\/span><\/span>:1<\/span><\/span>\u00a0clearly states that\u00a0<\/span><\/span>all authority comes from God<\/span><\/span>:\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u201c<\/span><\/span>In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/em>So<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>every<\/span><\/span>t<\/span><\/span>hing<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span><\/span>every being<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u2014<\/span><\/span>whether\u00a0<\/span><\/span>it<\/span><\/span>\u2019<\/span><\/span>s\u00a0<\/span><\/span>a spiritual being, an angelic being, or physical being<\/span><\/span>\u2014<\/span><\/span>everything<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0was created by God<\/span><\/span>. He is the author<\/span><\/span>\u00a0of all things<\/span><\/span>,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>but<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>He<\/span><\/span>\u00a0delegated<\/span><\/span>\u00a0His<\/span><\/span>\u00a0authority\u00a0<\/span><\/span>to u<\/span><\/span>s<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

There are those who think\u00a0<\/span><\/span>God just sovereignly rules and controls<\/span><\/span>\u00a0everything<\/span><\/span>, but that is wrong theology<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>I realize t<\/span><\/span>hat\u00a0<\/span><\/span>statement is offensive to\u00a0<\/span><\/span>about half o<\/span><\/span>f the body of Christ<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>There are a lot of churches that teach\u00a0<\/span><\/span>God is sovereign<\/span><\/span>,<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and everything that happens is<\/span><\/span>\u00a0either<\/span><\/span>\u00a0controlled by\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Him<\/span><\/span>\u00a0or\u00a0<\/span><\/span>is allowed<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>by<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>H<\/span><\/span>im.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>But I\u2019m telling you that is not true.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

I believe in the sovereignty of God if you define sovereign the way dictionaries\u00a0do\u00a0as\u00a0being\u00a0first in rank, order, or authority. God is\u00a0absolutely sovereign\u00a0by this definition. But religion has come along and put a\u00a0different\u00a0connotation on the word\u00a0sovereign<\/i>\u00a0by saying it\u00a0means God controls everything.\u00a0But\u00a0that is\u00a0not what the Bible teaches.\u00a0To win in this war, you must know who you are\u00a0and the authority you have as a believer.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
