In\u00a0<\/span><\/span>1892, the United States Supreme Court\u00a0<\/span><\/span>declared<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>that\u00a0<\/span><\/span>America is a Christian nation<\/span><\/span>, and many\u00a0<\/span><\/span>U<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span>S<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>presidents have\u00a0<\/span><\/span>echoed\u00a0<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span>is\u00a0<\/span><\/span>sentiment<\/span><\/span>\u00a0over the years<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>However,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>professing Christians<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>are<\/span><\/span>\u00a0on the decline.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>According to\u00a0<\/span><\/span>the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Pew Research Center<\/span><\/span>,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>only\u00a0<\/span><\/span>70<\/span><\/span>\u00a0percent<\/span><\/span>\u00a0of Americans identified as Christian<\/span><\/span>\u00a0in 2014<\/span><\/span>, a decrease of\u00a0<\/span><\/span>16<\/span><\/span>\u00a0percent<\/span><\/span>\u00a0from 1990.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>This alarming trend indicates a growing\u00a0<\/span><\/span>number of\u00a0<\/span><\/span>people\u00a0<\/span><\/span>turning\u00a0<\/span><\/span>away from God<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>

The decline in Christianity isn\u2019t just because younger Americans are moving away from faith\u2014we\u2019ve forgotten our history.<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The concepts behind our nation<\/span><\/span>\u2019<\/span><\/span>s foundational document, the Constitution,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>can<\/span><\/span>\u00a0be traced back to our forefathers<\/span><\/span>\u2019<\/span><\/span>\u00a0deep understanding of God<\/span><\/span>\u2019<\/span><\/span>s Word.<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>But it\u2019s easy to\u00a0<\/span><\/span>be\u00a0<\/span><\/span>ignor<\/span><\/span>ant of<\/span><\/span>\u00a0history when the<\/span><\/span>re is\u00a0<\/span><\/span>a deliberate effort<\/span><\/span>\u00a0to\u00a0<\/span><\/span>rewrite<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>and destroy it.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>For example, n<\/span><\/span>umerous monuments from the Civil War period have been taken down.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>But l<\/span><\/span>ike it or not, h<\/span><\/span>istory<\/span><\/span>\u00a0is history and cannot be\u00a0<\/span><\/span>rewritten<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>based on<\/span><\/span>\u00a0opinion.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>

It can be tempting to accept the world\u2019s narrative of tolerance<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>even when\u00a0<\/span><\/span>it\u00a0<\/span><\/span>go<\/span><\/span>es<\/span><\/span>\u00a0against God<\/span><\/span>\u2019s will<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>But<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>as believers,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>w<\/span><\/span>e are called to speak the truth in love<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span><\/span>lead<\/span><\/span>\u00a0people to a relationship with the Father.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>To do this, we must be\u00a0<\/span><\/span>willing to\u00a0<\/span><\/span>stand strong\u00a0<\/span><\/span>no matter<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>what<\/span><\/span>\u00a0opposition we face<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>

\u00a0We must\u00a0rise above the fear\u00a0of rejection. If someone takes offense when\u00a0we\u00a0speak the truth, they aren\u2019t rejecting\u00a0us;\u00a0they are rejecting Jesus.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

If\u00a0<\/span><\/span>we\u00a0<\/span><\/span>want to\u00a0<\/span><\/span>reignite<\/span><\/span>\u00a0our communit<\/span><\/span>ies<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>with a biblical worldview,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>we\u00a0<\/span><\/span>need to step out and be proactive.<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>We can m<\/span><\/span>inister to those who are\u00a0<\/span><\/span>struggling<\/span><\/span>, guide those who are\u00a0<\/span><\/span>lost<\/span><\/span>, and correct those\u00a0<\/span><\/span>who are\u00a0<\/span><\/span>doing<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>wrong<\/span><\/span>. Being proactive means creating opportunities, not just waiting for\u00a0<\/span><\/span>one<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>to come across your path. W<\/span><\/span>e are in a spiritual war. And w<\/span><\/span>hen you\u2019re at war, you don\u2019t have the luxury\u00a0<\/span><\/span>of waiting<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>

<\/span>The trend of<\/span><\/span>\u00a0political correct<\/span><\/span>ness and<\/span><\/span>\u00a0so-called<\/span><\/span>\u00a0tolerance\u00a0<\/span><\/span>is a direct result of<\/span><\/span>\u00a0the devil<\/span><\/span>\u2019s lies and deception<\/span><\/span>. Satan<\/span><\/span>\u2019s goal is to\u00a0<\/span><\/span>draw<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>people away from the truth<\/span><\/span>\u00a0of God<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>and replace it<\/span><\/span>\u00a0with sinful, perverse\u00a0<\/span><\/span>ideolog<\/span><\/span>ies<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/span>It is up to Christians to take the truth of God out into the world and combat the devil\u2019s lies.<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>No more hid<\/span><\/span>ing<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>inside<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>our church walls<\/span><\/span>. We must\u00a0<\/span><\/span>get<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>equip<\/span><\/span>ped\u00a0<\/span><\/span>with a Bible-based worldview and bring the light of God to a world lost in darkness.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>
