1968:\u00a0<\/b>A Life-Changing Revelation<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

It all began\u00a0<\/b>on\u00a0<\/b>March 23, 1968<\/b>.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Andrew was born again at just eight years old. Although he avoided the rebellious phase often associated with adolescence, he believed\u00a0he could earn\u00a0a relationship with the Lord\u00a0through his own righteousness.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

But on March 23, 1968, everything changed. Andrew realized he had fallen into legalism and self-righteousness\u2014much like the Pharisees Jesus rebuked. Expecting\u00a0God\u2019s\u00a0wrath,\u00a0he\u00a0was\u00a0instead overwhelmed by His\u00a0love. \u201cGod\u2019s love consumed me,\u201d he says. \u201cWhen I was at my worst, God\u2019s love was the strongest.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

This encounter forever changed\u00a0Andrew\u2019s view of\u00a0God and\u00a0set him\u00a0on a path to\u00a0help\u00a0others see\u00a0Him\u00a0the same way.\u00a0Soon after, he\u00a0was drafted\u00a0and sent\u00a0to Vietnam.\u00a0Though the front lines were\u00a0dangerous and\u00a0difficult, God used that time to ground\u00a0Andrew\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0Word. He returned to\u00a0the U.S. with a\u00a0stronger walk than ever.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

1972<\/b>\u2013<\/b>1980<\/b>s<\/b>:\u00a0<\/b>Foundations of Faith<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Andrew\u00a0accepted God\u2019s\u00a0call to\u00a0teach,\u00a0and\u00a0he and Jamie were married in 1972.\u00a0Together,\u00a0they began teaching Bible studies. Over the next six years, they pastored\u00a0three small churches and\u00a0had\u00a0two sons, Joshua and Jonathan Peter.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

In 1976, Andrew broadcast his first\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Gospel Truth<\/span><\/span>\u00a0radio program on a country station in Childress, Texas.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>By 1980, the ministry\u00a0<\/span><\/span>had moved\u00a0<\/span><\/span>to Colorado Springs\u00a0<\/span><\/span>with a\u00a0<\/span><\/span>clearer<\/span><\/span>\u00a0vision<\/span><\/span>: to\u00a0<\/span><\/span>share\u00a0<\/span><\/span>the truth of the Gospel<\/span><\/span>\u2014<\/span><\/span>emphasi<\/span><\/span>zing<\/span><\/span>\u00a0God\u2019s unconditional love and the balance between grace and faith<\/span><\/span>\u2014through\u00a0<\/span><\/span>teaching, radio, and free\u00a0<\/span><\/span>cassette tapes<\/span><\/span>. But God had much more in store for their ministry.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

19<\/b>90s<\/b>\u201320<\/b>0<\/b>8<\/b>:\u00a0<\/b>Training Disciples, Changing Lives<\/b>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

In the early nineties, the Lord spoke to Andrew about starting a Bible college\u00a0and\u00a0put 2 Timothy 2:2\u00a0on his heart\u2014calling him to train faithful men and women.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

He knew\u00a0academics alone\u00a0weren\u2019t enough\u2014hands-on\u00a0training\u00a0was essential.\u00a0With a team of\u00a0seasoned ministers and associates, Charis Bible College opened its doors in September 1994. Through Charis, the impact of his ministry began\u00a0multiplying.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Before\u00a0long,\u00a0God led\u00a0Andrew\u00a0into television, telling him, \u201cYou\u2019re just now starting your ministry.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

As\u00a0the ministry\u00a0grew, so did its needs,\u00a0and a\u00a0new building\u00a0was soon needed\u00a0to accommodate a growing student body as well as an adequate call center and television studio.\u00a0On January 31, 2002,\u00a0the Lord spoke to Andrew\u00a0through\u00a0Psalm 78:41,\u00a0revealing\u00a0that his small thinking was\u00a0limiting what God wanted to do.\u00a0That\u00a0December, the ministry purchased a 110,000-square-foot facility\u00a0to\u00a0support\u00a0the future growth of\u00a0AWM and Charis.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

20<\/b>09<\/b>\u201320<\/b>17<\/b>:\u00a0<\/b>Making Room for Growth<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

By\u00a02009, the\u00a0Lord\u00a0had\u00a0provided a new ministry home\u2014157\u00a0pristine\u00a0acres\u00a0in Woodland Park, Colorado.\u00a0This gave\u00a0Andrew\u00a0the opportunity\u00a0to design and build the needed facilities on the ministry\u2019s own land!\u00a0The property, called The Sanctuary,\u00a0became the site for new Charis\u00a0facilities. Faculty, staff, and students moved into\u00a0the first major\u00a0building,\u00a0The Barn, in January 2014.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Charis shared The Barn with AWM for a variety of functions and events, but with the two branches of the ministry headquartered in two different cities, collaborative challenges\u00a0arose. In 2017,\u00a0the ministry acquired\u00a0a 60,000-square-foot\u00a0facility\u00a0on the property adjacent to The Sanctuary, giving AWM a permanent Woodland Park base. Renovations began immediately.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

That same year, the ministry\u00a0launched GospelTruth.TV, an internet-based television network.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

20<\/b>18<\/b>\u201320<\/b>19<\/b>:\u00a0<\/b>Reaching the World, One Soul at a Time<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

As\u00a0the ministry\u00a0put down\u00a0roots in Woodland Park, its\u00a0reach\u00a0continued to\u00a0expand. AWM and Charis\u00a0began\u00a0connecting\u00a0with people more easily than ever\u00a0through multiple websites, television networks, events, and social media platforms.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

By 2018,\u00a0Andrew\u2019s fiftieth year in ministry, the ministry\u00a0had hit full stride.\u00a0Events were\u00a0thriving,\u00a0Charis\u00a0enrollment was strong, and new\u00a0resources\u00a0were helping people deepen their understanding of the Word. But most importantly\u2014more\u00a0lives\u00a0than ever\u00a0were being changed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

That fall,\u00a0The Auditorium\u2014The Sanctuary\u2019s second major facility\u2014opened its doors.\u00a0One month later, AWM moved into its newly renovated\u00a0headquarters, maximizing the\u00a0ministry\u2019s\u00a0effectiveness.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

In 2019,\u00a0The Auditorium became a bustling hub of activity, welcoming\u00a0crowds\u00a0to conferences, concerts, and stage productions like\u00a0Esther: The Queen of Persia<\/i><\/b>.\u00a0John\u00a0Tesh<\/b>\u00a0filmed\u00a0a concert\u00a0here,\u00a0bringing fun, faith-filled entertainment to the stage\u2014and new members of our community to our campus who might never have otherwise heard the message of God\u2019s love.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

2020:\u00a0<\/b>Courage in Crisis<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Then came 2020.<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

While much of the world came to a standstill,\u00a0AWM and Charis\u00a0kept moving forward.\u00a0During lockdown,\u00a0Andrew hosted a live-stream\u00a0communion service\u00a0that\u00a0reached\u00a0tens of thousands with a timely message of peace and hope.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Andrew launched\u00a0the\u00a0<\/i><\/b>Charis<\/b>\u00a0Daily Live Bible Stud<\/b>y<\/b>\u00a0<\/b>on social media, offering real-time teaching and ministry to viewers around the world.\u00a0That same year, the\u00a0ministry released\u00a0Charis Healing University<\/i><\/b>, a deep-dive video course packed with truth and testimonies\u00a0to\u00a0help people stand strong in their faith for healing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

AWM\u00a0also\u00a0launched the\u00a0Biblical Worldview<\/i><\/b>\u00a0curriculum\u00a0to help believers navigate today\u2019s cultural confusion with truth and clarity.\u00a0The first installment was\u00a0Foundational Truths<\/i>. Later\u00a0installments\u00a0would\u00a0cover\u00a0topics like\u00a0sexuality, racism, and government.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The ministry\u00a0expanded\u00a0Helpline\u00a0<\/b>availability to<\/b>\u00a024\/<\/b>5<\/b>\u00a0with weekend hours<\/b>\u2014answering over\u00a0a\u00a0half million calls during a time when people were desperate for answers, prayer, and encouragement.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

And when\u00a0churches and ministries\u00a0across\u00a0the world were caving to pressure to close down,\u00a0Andrew\u00a0stood firm and\u00a0held the Summer Family Bible Conference\u2014despite a cease-and-desist order from the governor.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Even\u00a0in uncertainty, God\u00a0kept\u00a0opening\u00a0doors!\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

2021\u20132024: Milestones and\u00a0<\/b>Momentum<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The years that followed were marked by growth, celebration, and a renewed sense of purpose.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

In 2021, AWM expanded the Helpline to 24\/7 availability.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

In 2022, Andrew\u00a0and Jamie\u00a0celebrated\u00a0fifty\u00a0years of marriage\u2014five decades of faith, family, and ministry together.\u00a0That same year,\u00a0AWM\u00a0en\u00a0Espa\u00f1ol<\/i><\/b>\u00a0was launched to serve\u00a0a\u00a0growing Spanish-speaking audience with translations of Andrew\u2019s teachings\u00a0and\u00a0live events.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

In 2023,\u00a0Andrew aired\u00a0his 5,000th\u00a0Gospel Truth<\/i>\u00a0TV program\u2014a\u00a0landmark\u00a0few could have imagined when he started\u00a0his\u00a0first\u00a0small-town\u00a0radio broadcast back in 1976.\u00a0On the digital front, AWM launched the\u00a0Bible Reading Plan<\/i><\/b>\u00a0for Mobile<\/i><\/b>, giving people a simple way to stay in the Word.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

In 2024, AWM stepped into documentary storytelling with the premiere of\u00a0Hope for the Future<\/i><\/b>\u2014a project from Truth & Liberty that tackled today\u2019s cultural challenges with clarity and courage, all through a biblical lens.\u00a0It highlighted three prophetic words the Lord\u00a0had given\u00a0Andrew,\u00a0communicating\u00a0God\u2019s heart for the church and the hope we can have\u00a0for\u00a0good things\u00a0ahead!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

And perhaps the biggest media leap yet: the\u00a0Gospel Truth Network<\/b>\u00a0(GTN) launched nationwide on\u00a0major streaming apps and\u00a0online\u00a0at\u00a0GTNTV.com<\/b>. What began as a vision to bring sound biblical teaching to every home in America became a reality\u2014broadcasting truth 24\/7\u00a0to viewers worldwide.\u00a0With\u00a0fresh voices,\u00a0encouraging\u00a0perspectives, and original shows\u2014including\u00a0Andrew\u2019s Classics,<\/i>\u00a0Grace & Faith Today, Charis Unplugged,\u00a0<\/i>and\u00a0Let\u2019s Talk<\/i>\u2014there\u2019s something for every generation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Fifty-<\/b>Six<\/b>\u00a0Years and Just Getting Started<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

What began with a young man in Texas, hungry to share the\u00a0unconditional\u00a0love\u00a0and grace\u00a0of God\u00a0with others, has become a worldwide ministry\u2014changing lives, equipping believers, and standing firm on the truth of the Gospel.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Today,\u00a0the ministry is progressing like never before, continuing to fulfill the vision God gave Andrew\u00a0to\u00a0go as far and as deep with the Gospel as possible.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
